Welcome to Cheers At Home: BBQ, Sous Vide & Something Good to Drink

Some of my favorite ways to spend time involve something on the grill, a sous vide cook underway, or a drink coming together in a shaker. I love the process as much as the payoff: trying a different seasoning, getting a great sear, or tweaking a cocktail until it tastes just right.

That’s what Cheers At Home is about. It’s a place to share my passion for BBQ, sous vide, making drinks, and enjoying what comes out of a home kitchen.

BBQ: worth the wait

There’s something about cooking with smoke and fire that keeps me coming back. The aroma, the anticipation, that first bite after a long cook—it’s all part of the fun. I’m interested in the whole process, from rubs and sauces to figuring out what I’d change next time. Expect BBQ experiments, recipes, and the little details that make a cook worth repeating.

Sous vide: a little precision, a lot to explore

Sous vide appeals to a different side of my cooking curiosity. I love being able to dial in a cook, then bring it all together with a finishing sear. There’s plenty to experiment with, and I want to share what I learn along the way: what works, what surprises me, and what earns a spot in the regular rotation.

Drinks: part of the fun

Making drinks scratches that same creative itch. A classic cocktail, a new combination, or something simple to sip while dinner comes together—I enjoy finding the balance and making it my own. Sometimes a small adjustment is all it takes to turn a decent drink into one you want to make again.

Pull up a chair

For me, these passions belong together. They’re a reason to try something new, slow down, and share something good. Cheers At Home is where I’ll bring those cooks, drinks, and experiments together, including the lessons from the ones that need another attempt.

If you get excited about BBQ, enjoy a little kitchen experimentation, or like mixing a good drink, I hope you’ll feel at home here.

What’s your thing: tending the smoker, dialing in a sous vide cook, or shaking up the drinks?

Cheers, and welcome to Cheers At Home.
